Energy storage units from Pylontech are made with LiFePO4 technology, which combines the advantages of high current capacity and long life, allowing to achieve several thousand charge/discharge cycles. LiFePO4 batteries have a high energy density, which makes them stand out for their ability to concentrate a lot of energy in a compact size. Cells made in this technology are also characterized by high resistance to self-discharge. Importantly, LiFePO4 batteries are not susceptible to the “memory effect” occurring in e.g. Ni-Cd, Ni-MH or AGM batteries, causing a “loss” of actual capacity.
The hybrid inverter can work simultaneously with the public grid and create an on-grid system working with batteries. The Solis inverter, available from Columbus, has one of the highest efficiencies on the market – 98.4 percent. The device optimizes the benefits of home photovoltaic systems working with energy storage. Built-in BMS (Battery Management System) software allows for real-time monitoring of the battery charge level and guarantees safe use.
